Wide, sweeping beaches, soothing waters, and away from the ordinary... Tulum Mexico is an ecological retreat embraced with history and culture.

Tulum radiates an extraordinary spiritual energy.  It kindles your soul, and envelops you in traditional Riviera Maya hospitality.  Wide, sweeping beaches and turquoise sea stretch along the coast.  About 45 minutes south of Playa Del Carmen, Tulum is ideal for solitude, contemplation and communion with nature.

Just north of the resort area is the famous archaeological site of Maya Tulum, one of Mexico's most visited attractions.  Tulum is the modern-day name of the site meaning "wall" or "fortress".  In ancient times it was believed to be," my fortress" city of the "Dawn".

Spectacular archaeology is only part of Tulum's magic.  Sun soaked days on deserted beaches and the sound of the waves rolling to shore provide a soothing atmosphere.  Cool to the touch, beaches rated by the Travel Channel are pure white powder that never burns the soles of your feet.

Sunkist shores dotted with palapa-type resorts are surrounded by a canopy of greenery. Long stretches of secluded coastline to the north are interrupted by a handful of resorts.  At the southern end of the road mounds of white sand create small hills from atop which, you can see the beach stretch onward for miles.

Signs along Highway 307 point to the entrances of cenotes, some with intricate caves and caverns such as Dos Ojos and Gran Cenote.  Safety measures require special certification for cave and cavern dies.

Narrow jungle roads with very reserve leads to the villages of Boca Paila and , situated on a small peninsula, and Punta Allen at the southern end.  Sportsmen love Boca Paila for its bone fishing and fly-fishing.  Deep-sea fishing trips can be arranged at the local lodge.
