Renowned for its Beautiful Sunsets, Mazatlan Mexico is an inviting land of endless summer. Boasting a coastline dotted with beckoning islands, miles of golden beaches and jungle lagoons, Mazatlan aptly deserves its nickname, “Pearl of the Pacific”.

No wonder Mazatlan is a Mexico vacation destination of choice for growing numbers of Mexico Travelers!

Mazatlan Mexico rates high on our list of destinations on the Mexican Riviera. Mazatlan weather is comfortable year-round. Throughout the winter and spring it is extremely pleasant.

We enjoy the way the ‘Golden Zone’ resorts are situated. Overlook the ocean and beach on one side of the resort, walk out of the front of the resort and you are right on the main street, with all sorts of shopping, dining and entertainment within footsteps.

Most Mazatlan Mexico resorts and hotels are built around luxurious grounds and pools. Within a few steps you are right on the beach for swimming, strolling or hunting seashells. Check it out for yourself via this fantastic Mazatlan web cam.

Mazatlan boasts many miles of great beaches, many attractions, a variety of interesting historical sites and monuments spread out all over the city.

A really fun way to get around, unique to Mazatlan, are open air taxis, called pulmonias, which scuttle about everywhere. Some have tops, some don’t, some are two seaters, some are four, and some of them have stereo systems that will knock your socks off. They are a real kick to get around in. One suggestion, always decide on your fare before you get in the taxi, that way there won’t be any misunderstandings when you get to your destination. You can get most anywhere for $50 pesos, about $5.00.

Mazatlan diving, beaches, snorkeling and sailing are popular activities. Mazatlan Mexico offers just about every water activity you can think of, Jet Ski’s and Waverunners, parasailing, inflatable banana boat rides, Hobie Cats and sea kayaks.

Are you into surfing? Like to hang ten, shoot the curl? Mazatlan surfing offers plenty of choices and action! Check out a few photos of Mazatlan surfing and beaches.

Mazatlan tours and activities , adventurous, ecological or exploratory are readily available. Tequila Factory, Copala, Stone Island are Mazatlán Jungle/Mangrove Tour are examples.

Mazatlan Mexico fishing offers local waters that are teeming with swordfish, sailfish, marlin, tuna, dorado amd more. Further north at Lake El Salto, is the best fresh water bass fishing in Mexico. You will not be disappointed in your sport fishing endeavors while on your Mexico vacation in Mazatlan. The combinations of your catch while Mazatlan sportfishing are almost limitless.

Golf has become a main attraction in all major beach resorts on the Mexican Riviera. Mazatlan Mexico is no exception. Tennis players should be able to find plenty of action too!

Mazatlan restaurants, nightlife and shopping opportunities abound in the “Golden Zone” as well as along the Malecón (boardwalk), downtown. The Malecón in Mazatlan is one of the longest in Latin America and is a great place for a leisurely walk at sunset or just for some old fashion people watching. Be sure to take in the "old town" section of the city, known for its Cathedral, market place and the central square, ‘Plaza Republica’.

Of course, if all you want to do is enjoy the surf and sun, that’s OK too. The beach, water activities and pampering associated with resort vacations is what it is all about for many travelers.
