The wonderful beaches, resorts and non-stop nightlife made Acapulco Mexico a retreat for the international jet set, playground of the rich and famous. For decades, Acapulco was the utmost Mexican Riviera resort town.

She hasn't lost her appeal. An ever-growing range of hotels and luxury resorts line the beautiful bay. The focus in this resort city, seems to be party all night and play on the beach all day.

You will find many choices when it comes to beaches. The entire bay is lined with beaches. Four popular beaches, Condesa, Los Hornos, Caleta and Caletilla, provide numerous opportunities to enjoy water sports and sailing. Many of the beachfront restaurants will put umbrellas, chairs and tables in the sand so you can enjoy your food or drink right at waters edge.

Water sports are a way of life in these warm Pacific waters. The bay is alive with wave runners, parasailing, peddle boats, banana rides and even a beachfront water park. Sailboards and small sail boats are readily available as well as numerous glass bottom boats that pull right up on the beach to pick up their passengers. You usually do not have to go very far to partake in your favorite water sport, almost everything is offered directly from the beaches. Surfing is found on outlying beaches.

Acapulco will fulfill all your desires when it comes to shopping. In fact you might be in for a surprise. A little searching can uncover many unique items that would not be considered normal resort fare. The prices in this city seem to be lower than those of other Mexican resorts.

Home to four championship golf courses and another 9 hole course that is located right in the tourist zone, golf won’t disappoint. The four championship courses are all located to the south of town, near the airport, the short trip south will be well worth your time.

Acapulco has many attractions and activities. Acapulco's main attraction by far, though, is the cliff diving at La Quebrada. Throughout the day and early evening, young men make a perfectly timed, breathtaking dive from a steep cliff into a small cove of water below. The crowd lets out a collective gasp and then waits in anticipation until the diver surfaces, to climb the steep cliff and do it all over again.
